Yes, Father Bob went to see The Da Vinci Code last night and he’s going to tell you what he thinks about it.
We also had a chat today about needing someone to fill in on recording duties while Cameron is overseas, and we update you on our efforts to use SMS to raise funds for the Father Bob Maguire Foundation.

If you want to show your support for The Father Bob Show, don’t forget to VOTE and, more importantly, donate $1 a week to The Father Bob Maguire Foundation by throwing a buck in his PayPal account.

Cameron, couldn’t you keep the ship sailing through Skype? Get Bob hooked up and take your laptop.

  2. Liam Says:

Oh I almost forgot. I’ve been listening to the Think Global podcast that you mentioned Cameron.

The Friedman speech is great, pretty much sums up the book.

Bob, if you haven’t listened to it, go and do it. Get it off Cameron if you have to.

    Liam

  3. Cameron Says:

yeah Liam I can still chat to Bob over Skype while I’m travelling, but I’ll be on planes, in hotels, in meetings, various timezones, no surety of broadband (except in Starbucks which is usually too noist to record a podcast), etc. If we want a regular show, it would be better to have someone who is either in Melbourne or at least in one location on a regular basis.

  4. Roger Says:

Great show guys, I hope that things dont change too much when you leave Cam - those are big shoes to fill.
Don’t get me wrong - Father Bob is the reason why I listen, but what makes the show interesting is when you throw your opinions at Bob (although you do tend to misuse statistics :) ).

  5. Fen Says:

Geez Cam, you can’t leave now!! I just started getting addicted to listening to Father Bob’s dulcet tones :)

  6. bobmaguire Says:

yes, cam, what are we going to do now we’ve roused the workers from their slumbers?bobmaguire.

I saw the DaVinci Code yesterday and thought it was really good. I loved the over the top CGI flash backs to ancient and medieval history.

Father Bob is very entertaining and realistic - if only the church was the same!

BTW, my Mum has been saying to me Jesus was married years before Dan Brown ever came along.

  8. bobmaguire Says:

aron, married or not,we’re all in this together.respect.bobmaguire.

Hi! I’d be real happy to lend a hand with the podcast. Let me know how I can help. I’m a yank still fairly new to life in Oz. Loved Bob’s series on SBS last Summer–a rather warped intro to life in this land for a Lutheran yank fresh off the boat. Please contact me and let me know what you need and what I can do. Pr. Hey Cam & Bob, great show again guys. I must say though, I’m gonna miss listening to you, Cam, on the Father Bob Show, it won’t be the same without you. I listened to the movie show today & really enjoyed it. I am going to download G’day World aswell. What other podcasts do you do yourself? Cheers, Nathan.
