Hey guys, let me say firstly, great show. I can't get enough of Bob's craziness & wisdom! Where can I get the podcast you guys were talkin about that Bob does? I am interested to hear how the FBMF PayPal account is going? Am I the only one donating or are there others? I will be interested to see this vision document Cam. i really hope we can get the funds together to realise this dream. Surely there is someone out there with a spare $100000. Keep up the great work guys, not a moment ot lose. Cheers, Nathan.

Tony you're suggesting that we "let them die" and that helping people does more bad than good, which is an insane way at looking at the world. Helping people isn't hiding the problem. It seems to me we need to do both things - change the system and help the people we can help along the way. Your utopian view of a decent caring government isn't here today and I don't see many signs of it being here tomorrow. I think blaming "the government" is a cop out for people who want to avoid any personal responsibility. If something is going to get done, we need to do it.

Oh, I have my list of good deeds and I’m sure you all have your own. I have not attacked anyone here personally; don’t know why you all start barking…
I expressed my opinion that religious charities do more bad than good because they cover up the problem instead of helping to solve it. There is nothing utopian about asking for a mental health clinic to accommodate the guy across the street. We used to have those 10-15 years ago, you know. How about real dental care for those with no insurance? All these are not revolutionary ideas. But when you hide the problem in the back lane, the voter will see nothing but roses in her path to the voting booth and vote for low interest rates again, not for a decent caring government.

Tony, you think "we" aren't asking for real help for these people? Guys like Bob have been fighting the good fight for decades. In the meantime, until we live in a more enlightened society that cares for the less fortunate / less disciplined / less intelligent / less motivated / less WHATEVER amongst us, *someone* needs to try to give them a meal and some warmth at night. What have you done lately mate?

Oh com'on.. "Let them die" as let the system that keeps them on the feeding tube die. I got a homeless mate across the office I work, he stays at the back lane from the church's art centre and gets food from the church and I think the council takes care of his cloths, showers etc. He is daily on the drink and nothing has changed in his life since 2 years ago that I met him. I know that one day I will go to work and he won't be there. So what are those charities really doing for him? Would it be better if he was dirty, half naked in the main commercial strip? Wouldn't we then ask for real help, through hospitals or mental institutions that could help this guy? I feel that the only thing we do is to dress him up, so he looks like us, so we won't feel bad about him and happily go and buy our next 4x4.
And Bob M,
You can not sell or buy whole blood in Australia, and even more, you can not produce or manufacture blood. It is made exclusively in our body and blood donation is the only way to receive blood. Red Cross might sell or buy blood platelets for research, but not my 450ml I donate every year.

tony court, MY charities are not CHARITIES except in the legal definition. They're closer to Social Justice movements.By the way, BLOOD is bought and sold throughout the world. In many cases my CHARITY cases sell their blood and organs so their rich fellow citizens may enjoy an improved "quality" of life.Respect.BobMaguire.

I am against your religious charity organizations. You just give a blanket and a loaf of bread to the home(hope)less so she can live the night. That might sound great, but in fact does nothing to take her out of the streets and in to “our” normal life circle. Instead, it leaves the government of the hook; as there are no people dying in the streets or pushing Franklin’s trolleys with their belongings, we all feel safe and happy. Your charities are actually creating virtual prisons for the misfortune people, not hidden behind walls of brick, but out of sight behind walls of second clothes and cheap meals. Shut the charities down; pull the plug from their chronicle patients and let them die so we all see that people do suffer and we might end up do something real for them (us), not just loose a coin in their buckets buying forgiveness for our sin of conformity.
You know how they call the Salvos in the Middle East? Hamas or Hezbollah... Now, you pick your terrorist.

PS. The only “charity” I support is giving blood. It is the only thing that money or governments can not buy or create. It is the only thing I have for the Red Cross bucket and the only thing that the Murdochs out there have not. Go ahaid, GIVE salvation here 13 14 95 or http://www.donateblood.com.au/

I think your reality TV show has one flaw (or possibly not)! What happens if the "Fat" people get hungry first and start eating the Skinny people?
