The Father Bob Show #42 - Return of the Prodigal Smartarse
Today I (being Michaela) struggle to get a word in as self-confessed smartarse Cameron Reilly (head honcho and CEO of The Podcast Network, founder of The Father Bob Show, and global media mogul), returns for a cameo. This of course brings out the most argumentative side in Bob. There really is no rhyme or reason, structure, or suitable place to edit in a starting place for this show. We return to regular programming next week. Bon appetite!

Good to see your back Cameron, the new mighty trio.
I think I will start following up the podcasts by posting here again, I have just been keeping an eye on the forum.
I had no idea there was so much drama going on with the blog.
Having read The World Is Flat earlier in the year I am now reading The Lexus and the Olive Tree. Good so far.

Hey Cameron and Bob (and Micaela) has any of you read Alain de Botton’s “Status Anxiety” deals pretty well with the question of does someone make money and survive on the basis of there own effort or are there external forces that play a role and too what extent. Bob you may like his arguments more than Cameron.

Hi Chris, I’ve been meaning to read it for some time. I have read several reviews about it. However, I also was put off a little bit by the seeming lack of relavance to the “real” world and the struggles people face there. Another term for that might be “wankery”. Of course, not having read it I can’t say if that impression is accurate.
Cheers, Michaela.

[...] Father Bob got on his podcast the other day saying that Christians should get over it and get on with it. It’s the same as the Iraq war thing – it’s not going to change so why waste energy on it when nobody’s listening. [...]

Michaela, it’s not quite as wanky as it appears, it’s directed at those who have rather than those who don’t.

Sounds good Chris, I’ll have a look at it if I get a chance.
Cheers, Michaela.

Hey Fr Bob,
Did Cameron appologies over the date of the battle of Waterloo? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_waterloo)
;-)
