The Father Bob Show #47 - “Bang goes God and Bob!”
In this week’s show we answer the listener question of the week from Shelley asking “What is Liberation Theology?”. This inevitably leads on to Bob’s favourite topic at the moment; quantum theology.
Bob recalls his nightmares resulting from a bowl of low fat food in relation to the 30-second survey (see earlier blog post for link). We discuss Life After Death, “The Lion The Witch, and The Wardrobe”, and when is a frozen embryo a human being?
The Archibald Prize Entry portrait of Bob painted by Barbara Biggs is entitled “Not them and us, it’s we”.

Listened to this show and was interested in the discussion about “rescuing” the embryos. The question being asked seemed to be centred around ‘what *exactly* was being saved’?
I feel that it was the ‘human potential’ that is represented in the embryos.
Regardless of whether some people see a human being in an embryo or a bunch of cells, we are all human and recognise somewhere in our unspoken selves that we once were an embryo too.
The idea that there existed in these embryos the mere possibility of life and to not take action would in some way mean some potential human life may not come to fruition seems to me motivation enough.
