The Father Bob Show #52 - Blind Babies

Bob and I start off today by talking about the latest Vinson report published by Jesuit Social Services. It is called “Dropping off the edge: the distribution of disadvantage in Australia”. The executive summary can be found at:
http://www.jss.org.au/documents/070226-Summary-DroppingofftheEdge.pdf or the main website at www.jss.org.au

Bob reflects on the impact that religious icons and hardware in churches can intimidate regular people, the vandalism to his outdoor noticeboard, and his blog post about Lent. We move on to the tendency for institutions to become corrupt, including the church and police. This becomes a discussion of Bob’s role as Chaplain during the Vietnam War, and the current international conflicts.

We discuss our new Second Life player Igor who has volunteered his time, expertise, and resources to make Bob’s dream come true of a Bob Robot. Also, the disappointing results of the podathon, and Bob’s futile care program, and of course the Listener Question of the Week!

You ought to see this video. This plays perfectly into your random acts of niceness.

The feed for this podcast linked me to podcast 42 instead of 52. I swear I haven’t almost fallen into another Mildura ditch.

  3. Cameron Says:

Sorry Rick - ACTUALLY… there were TWO rss enclosures in the feed - one for #52 and one for #43??
I have no idea how the enclosure for #43 got in there. It’s now gone bye-byes.

Hi everyone - I’m hoping to get input and suggestions for the FB Spirituality Centre in Second Life from as wide a field as possible. Could anyone with any ideas or comments on this please leave a message in the relevant forum?
